You can laugh if you want to, and attack everyone who doesn't think the same way you do as being a loser and a crank, but you may be in for quite a surprise when such a Disclosure is actually made. In fact, the insiders who have kept this secret for the last 60 years are counting on the skeptics, debunkers and religious fundamentalists to freak out and destabilize society once they are finally told the truth -- though I highly doubt that will actually happen.

Instead of absolutely believing you will never hear any "genuine proof" that UFOs exist, or ever see a 'real one' with your own eyes, I invite you to try the intellectual exercise of at least allowing yourself to ask the "What If." Just try. As a Highly Intelligent Skeptic you have to be willing to consider all possibilities, rather than automatically assuming your opinion must be correct.

As a Highly Intelligent Skeptic you have to be willing to consider all possibilities, rather than automatically assuming your opinion must be correct. What if the government actually did tell you UFOs were real? What if we are surrounded by intelligent life throughout the Universe? What if humans like us have evolved on other planets besides the Earth? What if there are technologies out there that are vastly superior to our own -- and our cherished 'laws' of physics need to be completely rewritten?

What if our own technology was dramatically assisted by this "celestial endowment?" What if the extraterrestrial presence was considered the highest secret of all, due to its potential to eliminate the oil-based economy, and has been carefully kept under wraps -- with deadly force -- for six decades now, but is finally falling apart?

I mean, think about it -- after all this talk of UFOs for so many years; after all the movies, documentaries, books, TV shows and the like; after all the evidence you have been exposed to throughout your life, do you honestly believe the whole, entire thing is completely and totally BS?

Can you sincerely be confident that every single sighting ever reported in human history must be a lie or a hoax, and every single whistleblower is similarly concocting fairytales -- despite the career destruction, poverty and ridicule they endure, notwithstanding the tired old lies you may have heard about them "selling their stories" and becoming 'rich' from them?

(I know many of these UFO whistleblowers personally. Very few, if any, are lucky enough to function above a subsistence level.)

I'm serious. This is your life. You do with it what you want. But can you absolutely be sure you are right? What happens if you're not? Who will you owe your sincerest apologies to then?

In light of the tremendous, irrefutable body of evidence that is available, who really is the naive one? You, the Highly Intelligent Skeptic, or all the people you so cavalierly insult as being stupid, ignorant savages for looking at this vast body of compelling data... and concluding that it might actually be true?

You may not have to wait much longer to find the answers to these questions. We are on the threshold of what may well be the most exciting moment in human history. Or, shall we say, Earth-born human

LLC's, Homeowner Association, TICs, Co-ops, etc. all have their pros and cons, and it would be nice to hear from you what those pros and cons are. For example, maybe you love the way your LLC allows you and five others to share a home or land, but you'd really prefer an opportunity to tax deduct your mortgage interest payments.

I'm well aware of the fact that the structure "depends" on the situation...land, number of parcels, number of people, etc., but would prefer that you put that aside for purposes of this thread unless you've experienced more than one and can speak from personal experience.

Ah, the exit survey. In the mainstream, many employers use them to quiz departing employees about their work experience. Employers wish to learn what employees thought, and possible spot issues which caused them to decide to quit.

No reason an intentional community shouldn't do the same.

Take the community I visited in Missouri, once. It was successful in so many ways; economically, its buildings, etc. Visitors never stopped coming. The place was decades old. However, I was told that turnover was high, and that most members left after about 2 years.

Jeepers! Why?

Well, my theories are:

it was dirty
it was a gossip mill
too many members had mental health issues

and, I was told that one member, an old guy who had been there almost since the founding, harassed people. Not sexually, but for other reasons. I was even told he had driven many folks away. I myself saw him treat others with disrespect, especially the women and vegans.

And, I was told the community had had 1-2 "exoduses" in which up to 20 members had driven off, never to return.

I was granted membership, but when I soon decided to leave, I never saw The Exodus Survey.

Now, my old employer here in the mainstream, uses exit surveys. But only for the higher paid folk. I was a lower paid employee. And non-union. We were not exit surveyed. In fact, we were treated like a pool of high class temporary workers. Meaning, not well. Expendable. Sooooo

I conclude NOT having exit surveys can be a way of avoiding unpleasant realities. If that commune had been using exit surveys, its membership committee could see, numerically, how what's his name had been a factor in many people's leaving. Not to mention the moldy pillow cases and curtains! My old employer, here in Babylon, would have to pay attention to all the minions of low paid, non-union folk it hires by the hundreds and waves goodbye to all too often.

So. If you want to know why folks leave! If you don't want any issues to linger year after year! If you want to be sure issues are addressed! And that established members are not enabling a community bully! Create an exit survey.

Co-Creators Wanted

Dear fellow travelers;
Awhile back while surfing the Internet I came across an old advertisement from a Londoner Newspaper from the year 1912 which read:
“Men Wanted for hazardous journey, small wages, bitter cold, long months of complete darkness, constant danger, safe return doubtful, honor and recognition in case of success.” Ernest Shackleton, Antarctic Explorer.
It is said he received 5,000 applications.

Now consider that it is now almost one hundred years later. Not only are the icecaps melting but massive changes, geological, social, economic, are everywhere underway. We are awaiting the mysterious year 2012, an anniversary of creation, foretold as the Shift of the Ages.

I am a German Immigrant who was guided to come to America. I am presently living in Chico, California. My next spiritual assignment as a self-proclaimed Lightworker for America is the manifestation of Dome Village Katrina. Two years ago I put an ad on some Internet places. My text said:

--- “Wanted: Awakened Indigo Children with a Passion for Bringing Heaven down to Earth.
Why?: For the Manifestation of Dome Village Katrina in Northern California.
I am looking for four young people, minimum age 21, who want to join me for a one-year apprenticeship program for the creation of a new entrepreneur occupation as a New Community Builder. - We will build a cluster of five earth-bag dome homes plus a community dome. This model of a small, self-sufficient community is intended to snowball in rural areas. We will operate on a non-profit, humanitarian platform.
The motto for foresight-project “Dome Village Katrina” is the Buckminster Fuller vision statement: “To make the world work for 100 % of humanity in the shortest possible time through spontaneous cooperation without ecological offense or the disadvantage of anyone.” ---

I did get occasional response letters, however, so far nobody seriously interested showed up.
So I put this assignment on the back burner and focused on other things on my list.

Since I am presently re-creating my website to refresh my Lightworker store-front, I want to make a new attempt at gathering my four co-apprentices by posting this one-page flyer on my blog.
My above ad text is still valid.

I invite you – not to a hazardous journey in cold darkness - but to an adventure in the Light, by walking the path of ascension in a core group of five. We will manifest Dome Village Katrina through applying the Law of Attraction according to the Abraham teachings. In practicing the new paradigm we will be living in the frequency range of the 5th dimension.
Requirement for applicants is to read my ebook “Potty Training for Indigo Children” - see my website at www.KarinLLightworker.com - since Dome Village Katrina is the spin-off project of my book. After reading the book you will know whether you want to be part of this project or not. If you are unable to purchase the ebook through my website I can email it to you as a gift.
Only after reading the book and only if you feel a strong calling to be part of this spiritual undertaking write me a detailed letter about yourself and your intentions for becoming a New Community Builder.
Please also read the following three letters on my blog with more info about Dome Village Katrina: Letter to Edward Dilley, Letter to Futurist Jacque Fresco, Letter to Andy Caffrey.
Especially I would like to attract members of my tribe of origin, those of the Promethean Spirit. “Being on a mission as passionate humanitarians” is our trademark. Our purpose is to live as mapmakers and wayshowers and to bring to fruition the seeds that those who came before us have planted. This is how we anchor our power as conscious creators on planet Earth.
The time for a new beginning is now! I'm looking forward to welcome you!
Vibe high - journey joyfully!
Karin Lacy, Lightworker

Project Nuevo Mundo is a network of individuals committed to redirecting the development of our planet and the life it sustains through the creation of consciousness-transforming, healing projects and centers in communities both foreign and domestic.

This reflects momentum gathering around the world towards a new consensus that emphasizes a more balanced existence with the rest of the natural world based on small-scale, cooperatively organized and relatively self-sufficient human settlements.

Join me if you are interested in a future in development (economic, social, spiritual), fair trade, microcredit, community-building, health and clean water access, media relations and organization, refugee work, education, environmental advocacy and spreading alternative energies. Use this space to discuss possibilities, ideas, and the projects that currently engage us.

We support the philosophy of the Solidarity Economy, creating opportunities for work-exchange and reducing the neccessity for monetary transactions. Below you will find many ways to travel the world, learn, and volunteer with little to no finances.

Here is a little information about the site we have built in Guatemala and now and need your help to start the project and community! (calling all WWOOF work-exchange volunteers, vegan gourmet kitchen apprentices, gardeners, landscapers, mural-painters, massage therapists, yoga instructors, therapists and mind-body healers...). We can make this happen together!

-Beautiful lakeside land going up about two-hundred meters
-Two minutes by boat from beautiful Santiago Atitlan, the largest town on the lake (but not accessible except by boat, which we have one)
-Beautiful hiking paths on our private land as well as public trails
-Solar powered jacuzees, and unlimited supply of solar-heated water
-Sauna sweatlodge
-1000 watt sound-system :)
-Fully producing organic garden (all vegan) with retail outlet store (Salud para Vida) in San Pedro Atitlan and restaurant on-site. Sprouting, raw food, green juicing, etc. this is happening already.
-Plenty of camping space (we hope to build a hostel soon to accomodate backpackers)
-Housing for rent (although this is luxury, to generate income)
-WWOOF positions and work-exchange opportunities opening up in January (we will need a kitchen position, a maintenance and cleaning position, and a gardening position to start. We will also be constructing ecological houses for work-exchange people
-Opportunities to work for one year (including building a small habitation from local materials) in exchange for legal ownership of the habitation and a small plot of land for personal garden
-We are specifically looking for yoga instructors, massage therapists, landscape designers, green builders and permaculture-organic agriculture enthusiasts. We would like to beautify the space with flowers, murals, stained-glass designs. Let´s get creative! When we develop the center we will need a variety of mind-body healers.
-Future plans: 1-2 week workshops on organic farming, vegan cooking, sailing, etc. We plan on hosting conferences, parties, weddings, Vipassana meditation retreats, camping trips for disadvantaged children from Guatemala City to get in touch with nature and rediscover their roots. We are very open to ideas and want to experiment. Get it?

We will be posting up a complete picture of the operations with photographs on our coming website, www.projectnuevomundo.org , in the next couple of weeks. We are also looking for people to pool money together to purchase more land and build a meditation center and more housing. Will be keeping news of the project up to date, please spread the word to interested friends and invite them to the group.

Hi Family,

Right now there are two competing signature drives to put cannabis legalization initiatives on the ballot in California for November 2010.

One is found at www.taxcannabis2010.org

The other is found at www.CaliforniaCannabisInitiative.org

Please look carefully at the text of both laws (the text of each is finalized at this point) and make up your own mind which one you support.

I am supporting www.CaliforniaCannabisInitiative.org because this law will protect cannabis users from discrimination in healthcare, employment, and housing. It is a full legalization measure for hemp and cannabis which will restore full human rights to cannabis users and growers all across California.

I have two parts to my plan. The first part is to publicly post and distribute our "Call to Arms" in order to recruit volunteers. This document is available here-

www.imgur.com/dbU83

The second part of the plan is to ask everyone who volunteers to make a pledge for how many signature they will collect in the next 30 days or so. 15-30 signatures is a good number. You can probably get that number from your family members, friends, co-workers, and neighbors without having to solicit in public too much. This is an "out of the closet" movement. We will have to proudly advocate human rights for cannabis smokers in order to get support from legitimate people. I can supply stickers equivalent to each persons pledge number. These stickers can be used to generate interest and be given to people who sign the petition. Here is the sticker design-

www.imgur.com/2cjvb

Feel free to distribute and use these images. But don't copyright them because you are not the one who created them.

We have 145 days in order to get the number of signatures that we need. Our petition is hot off the press on 9/11 and we are collecting the first signatures yesterday 9/12.

We are polling 56% public support for cannabis legalization in California, so this is an initiative which is not doomed. It's time has finally arrived. Now is the time to do this and to do it right. We may only get one chance. If a law which is not exactly what we want is implemented then we may lose our critical mass and our ability to set it right.

If you want to help me in any way please contact the CCI campaign at www.CaliforniaCannabisInitiative.org or write me at deep_space_underground@yahoo.com

Love,
-Fully Committed

French Manoir / farm in Normandy with organic kitchen garden, 2 fields of 2 hectares, chickens etc..We now want to create Biosphere/Geodesic dome, full organic self sufficiency aiming towards being carbon neutral and using renewable energy. We are looking for people interested in the technological side of self sufficiency as well as running a small organic kitchen garden. Creative people welcomed, We are both musicians, non smokers, not drinkers. The house contains a studio and we work developing and recording bands and artists..,Ideally we would want to feed ourselves and our clients with vegetables and food from the farmstead. Over the years we have had quite a few WWOOFERS (world organic farming volunteers) which has proved successful but unfortunately most people are only available for a few weeks or months as this organisation is more geared for shorter stays, we are looking for someone, or a couple who would like to become a more permanent part of our team.

A lot of the rural communities I have visited, and read about, have few children. Ironic, as an intentional community would seem the ideal place to raise kids. Some factors to consider are that there often are way more men than women. Then there is isolation; even with a population of 50-100, how can one easily find Mr. or Ms.Right? Then, there is the fact that some of us just plain aren't right!! Myself maybe included!!!
I'm curious as to what guidelines, policies, approaches, or theories <smile> other groups use to deal with visitors - particularly other urban groups (which is what we are) - if we were out in the middle of rural America lots of things would be different.

For the past couple of weeks, our Representatives in Congress have been bombarded by a multi-million dollar campaign from the opposition. Our voices - voices from people who are actually dealing with the broken health care system - are needed NOW.
I'm just curious what people might think of this idea. I'm starting a new church, and there's a big problem because people really don't take the time to consider deep concepts. Without that, there's no learning.

So here's my idea. I'd like to form a group in which all the members agree to each month give one person 10 hours of their time to allow that person to really explain things to them. That person might have them read things, or talk to them, or whatever. Each person would be assigned a different person each month, and it'd be assigned by a dice roll or some other random manner.

Other than by winning the lottery, I can imagine no other way to escape the stress out there! On the other hand, I've seen communities hurt by members whose issues are disruptive. Even more, more than once I've heard of a commune hurt by a member's on-site suicide.

That first thread got so long, I want to start this one, especially so as to focus on something tangental.

I think community, especially rural communes, can be safe and supportive places for people w emight call wounded, or just plain menally ill. However, some folks with issues will use community to deny anything is wrong with them. Like an alcoholic in denail, they will use community to hide from the need to change.

In mainstream society, serious issues can cause you to become homeless. Sleep disorders, bad tempers, low productivity, are grounds for dismissal. In community, with flexible work and caring people, one has more margin of error in life. (As a poor person, I can say there isn't much margin at all when one is poor, nowadays!)

This explains a lot of what I have seen while visiting comunes: The eco-nazis I've seen. The community bully. The women all-too ready to scream "sexual harassment". The rumor mongers. The addicted. The occasional act of violence in community. Yea, while obvious, schizophrenic-like mental illness is rarer, just being plain old . . wacked out, is all too common. The lunatic fringe. In fact, it sometimes looks as if that has become the norm in some pretty big and established communes.

Which explains the turnover. Just visiting was an experience at times, as it was difficult to deal with these folks for a few weeks.

What are your thoughts? Do these type "mentally ill" folk create havens for their own kind, sometimes running off the "different", in a perverse twist on the usual way tings work?

something else is happening deep down.

An inner emergence is taking place

and certain individuals are being called to a higher light.
It is a silent awakening.
Some of us work anonymously
We are quietly working behind the scenes

in every country and culture of the world;
in cities big and small, mountains and valleys;

in farms and villages, tribes and remote islands.

You could pass by one of us on the street
and not even notice

We go undercover
We insinuate into the system

from behind the scenes
It is of no concern to us who takes the final credit
But simply that the work gets done

During the day some of us pretend we have normal jobs
But behind the false storefront and at any hour
is where the real work takes a place

This will make illegal any intentional community as we know them today. And the required permits will only be economically possible for giant commercial operations or feed lots.

I've always said that the US does not seem to be a safe place for sustainable intentional communities. Now if these bills can not be stopped in time I'll be proven right. Then there will be a rush to find communities outside the US and those communities will have to restrict the entrance of ex-US members until they can be detoxed.

While I think it possible for private or governmental groups to snoop into this subculture, I had the thought that the speakers had an inflated view of their importance! Yea, in the 60's or 70's, the founder of Wackenhut and some of his rich buddies kept a private watch on, "the Left", as did the government. But, I see communes as a blip on the screen and unworthy of much attention. But here's my thought:

The folks I heard talk would see people who were moderate in views and appearance as the likeliest agents. But, I have read enough and talked to enough people to know that agencies train their folks to go in taking the most extreme tone and mimicking the groups dress and speech. Which means, the infiltrator isn't going to look like Mr. or Ms. Normal. And, they won't be a moderate in belief. They will be oh so cool! Dreds! Mannerisms, slang, all down pat. I wish more commune folk knew this!

Another facet: If a group is going to become cliquish, those with political and social power will ostracize the moderates. But, you know, moderates are the bridge to the mainstream. And, they're the bridge to reality. Turn those folks away and you're left with True Believers; ideologues, who care more about the group's cohesiveness than effectiveness in changing the world.

So, an agent wanting to disrupt a group could kill two birds with one stone by being an extremist. They would run off the moderates, thereby turning the group into an isolated bunch of ideologues, with no bridges to the mainstream. Mainstream folks would tune them out. They would recognize them as ideologues. Secondly, the agent would more easily PASS as an OK person. And, all those clean cut activists who were treated like aliens would go home.

Know this!

The Earth is about to shift into the next dimension of its planetary consciousness, and, as a result, we are about to experience a massive transformation in human awareness. The community will be located on 105 acres in Central New Mexico. In addition to creating an environment that will be focused upon accelerating spiritual growth, an equally important focus will be to construct a community that is entirely self-sufficient, enabling us to thrive during the coming transformational changes. While the land has already been acquired, we are seeking those who have the financial means and/or the skill-base necessary to make this visionary endeavor a reality. Work is scheduled to begin this Spring and will focus upon the construction of housing, greenhouses, outdoor fruit and vegetable gardens, and the generation of energy via solar and wind technology. If you are already engaged in a process of spiritual transformation and would be interested in joining in this pioneering endeavor, we look forward to hearing from you.

Why is the Transition Town model taking off so rapidly? How is it that a grassroots movement intent on the downsizing of modern life is receiving such a groundswell of enthusiasm? What can we do as communities do to address the overwhelming and intertwined issues of peak oil, climate change and economic instability?

Rob Hopkins, founder of the Transition Town model and author of The Transition Handbook, From Oil Dependency to Local Resilience, writes, “It is one thing to campaign against climate change and quite another to paint a compelling and engaging vision of a post-carbon world in such a way as to enthuse others to embark on a journey towards it.” Hopkins proposes that cities might be transmuted from “large, bland places with a few ‘entertainment’ venues, to diverse places with gardens, ponds, artworks, more opportunities for meeting and working with people and generally more to see and do,” where people had “less reason to travel to be entertained.”

“Rebuilding local agriculture and food production, localizing energy production, rethinking healthcare, rediscovering local building materials in the context of zero energy building, rethinking how we manage waste, all build resilience and offer the potential of an extraordinary renaissance — economic, cultural and spiritual.”

Come together to explore the aspects of life that this area needs to develop in order to sustain itself and thrive in the face of oil depletion, economic instability and climate change. How do we increase the resilience of our communities and drastically reduce carbon emissions? Many organizations in the Bay Area have been devoting themselves for years to essential issues related to this question. The Transition Town model is an opportunity to bring all of the ongoing good work into a cohesive framework aimed at creating a sustainable life for all.

Training for Transition is a 2-day "fundamentals" course for those wishing to know how to set up, run, and maintain a successful transition initiative. It is packed with imaginative and inspiring ways to delve into both the theory and practice of Transition.

Summary:

Local-healthy-organic-artistic-community-loving couple seeking another like-minded couple to share spacious Oakland home and garden. The rent is $1150 and includes a bedroom, another room that could be used as an office/workspace and shared use of the meditation/movement space, kitchen, living room and bathrooms. Shared meals ala Weston A Price, shared gardening including chickens, and shared intention of inching ourselves closer to sustainable living. Wanting to live with others who are tidy, openly communicative and committed to living cooperatively. Move-in date is negotiable, sometime between May 1st to June 1st.

The House:

The main house is approximately 1900 sq. feet with wood floors, natural light, a living room, large meditation/movement room, and two rooms that were designed as bedrooms but are currently being used as offices/workspaces. In the back is a large “cottage-style” studio bedroom with separate entrance, and on the ground floor we recently built another bedroom which also has a separate entrance.

The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped, with a sweet little breakfast nook. There is one full bathroom and another half-bath. We also have a full-size clawfoot tub with hot & cold water spigots in a cozy corner in the garden that we use for outdoor “Esalen-style” baths.

There is a large basement with plenty of space for storage, bikes, equipment etc., as well as washer, dryer and additional freezer.

We have a large backyard garden where we grow a variety of vegetables, herbs and flowers year-round. It gets a good deal of sun and the soil has been tested and is free of heavy metals and chemicals. We also have a small garden in the front of the house.

Your Rooms:

The idea behind the arrangement of rooms is to have private bedrooms that are separated from the main living space of the house. This allows for more privacy and a sense of us each having our own space, while still enjoying the benefits of sharing a large house. Your bedroom would be a recently converted room on the ground-floor with a large, floor-to-ceiling “french door” that opens into the garden. It's a bit funky but it has a lot of character, and it is quite spacious. It also has a small sink with working plumbing and a separate entrance from the main house.

You would also get a room in the house that is approximately 12x15 with a small closet that sits directly off of the kitchen. This room could be used as an office, a workspace, a quiet space, or whatever you’d like to use it for (other than a bedroom). We share the meditation/movement space (gorgeous, large room in the front of the house), and all other living spaces.

The Neighborhood:

The house is situated in a friendly, centrally-located neighborhood right on the border of Oakland and Berkeley. We are two blocks from Ashby Bart and a block from the Nomad Cafe, La Pena Cultural Center, the Starry Plough, Essex St. Hot Tubs. We are walking distance from Berkeley Bowl, Whole Foods and the Tuesday Berkeley Farmer’s Market, and a short bike ride to the Saturday Berkeley Farmer’s Market and the Sunday Oakland/Temescal Farmer’s Market. We are part of a local co-op offering raw milk, raw cheese and free-range, organic meats and pastured eggs, and the pick-up location for this is just two blocks away.

We’ve found that we rarely need to use our car anymore, but when we do freeway access to the 24/580 is very close by and parking is readily available on the street.

Kitchen/Food:

We both follow the Weston A. Price principles of nutrition and eat a diet of organic, nutrient-dense whole foods. We make our own sauerkraut, kefir, yogurt, creme fraiche, and bone broths and bake our own bread regularly. We cook three meals a day for ourselves, so the kitchen is the hub of the home and the center of frequent activity. It is also a temple, of sorts, and we like to treat it like one. Dishes are washed and counters are cleaned after they are used, and our guideline is to leave the kitchen in the same state as we found it (clean!) before we started cooking.

Our relationship to food is a very important part of our life, and we would like to share those values with the people we live with. Ideally we are seeking a couple who is familiar with the Weston A. Price principles and follows them in their own life. Among other things, this means eating locally-grown, organic, nutrient-dense foods. Our hope is that you will be open to sharing meals together and sharing the weekly preparation of ferments (kefir, sauerkraut, yogurt, etc.) and bone broths as well.

We aren’t dogmatic about this and we don’t make personal judgments about people who don’t follow this approach to nutrition. We have many close friends who do not. However, we’ve found through experience that the home is more harmonious when its inhabitants share a hearth.

We are also intent on producing as much food as we can in our own yard. We would love to share our home with others who garden. We are planning to get chickens and would be happy to have your involvement in the care and rewards of these little feathered friends.

Living Together:

We are both what you might call “homebodies”. We both do at least part of our work from home, and with our love of food and cooking we spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Because of this we try to treat our home as a sanctuary and maintain a warm, comfortable and nourishing environment that serves as a “retreat” from the intensity of urban life.

Communication and personal responsibility are very important to us. We’ve both lived in community a lot over the years and recognize the necessity and benefit of having regular “check-ins” and house meetings to discuss issues as they arise and to simply stay connected to and present with each other.

We share weekly, rotating chores and contribute to the upkeep and general maintenance of the house.

Both of us are keenly aware of how resource depletion and climate change are effecting our environment and economy, and we make an effort to live consciously and minimize our impact. We compost, recycle, re-use plastic bags, avoid buying things packaged in plastic where possible, hang clothes on the line when the weather permits, ride bicycles, walk or use public transportation and try to reduce water use. We’re not zealots about this, and there are certainly areas where we could improve our efforts. But we’d like to live with folks who share an intention to live a more sustainable life.

We have a piano and welcome music in the home. We also enjoy playing games and inviting friends over for meals or tea, although lately we’ve been so busy that we haven’t had much time for social gatherings. We also have a television that we use to watch DVDs - no cable. The TV sits in a beautiful wood cabinet and is not an intrusive presence in the house.

We both go to bed and wake up early. While it’s not necessary that you do the same, we aren’t big fans of noisy house parties that go until late! Our bedroom is in a separate building in the back, however, so normal socializing in the house at late hours isn’t an issue.

Who We Are:

Elanne: 38-years old, Feldenkrais practitioner with a background in the performing arts. She lived a homesteading life in a rural community on a small island in British Columbia, and looks for ways to bring some of that harmony to her life in the city. She recently got her certificate in permaculture design and is busy experimenting. She is passionate about food and is an armchair sociologist/anthropologist, as well as a student of Zen at the Bay Zen Center in Oakland.

Chris: 34 years old, currently studying to become an acupuncturist, writes a blog on health & nutrition called “The Healthy Skeptic”, surfer, dancer, martial artist, photographer, enjoys cooking, hanging out with friends, reading, and being outdoors. Chris is a student of Darlene Cohen at the Russian River Zen Center.

We’ve been married for almost three and a half years and currently have no children. However, that may soon change so you would need to be open to living with a baby. We are also considering getting a dog in the next few months, so it wouldn’t hurt if you liked dogs! Of course if you have a nice dog that you want to bring with you, that might be just right.

If you’re interested:

Please reply to "whitneyhousemate@me.com" with some information about yourself. Please include any experience you have living cooperatively. If it seems like a good fit, we'll get in touch and set up an interview.

This place is becoming an ongoing small festival as well as a growing community.

We have a constant stream of volunteers and amazing visitors! Some people come through when they are between jobs, traveling, or to live here for a time and telecommute. Some of our visitors are visiting many communities looking for one to live in.

OK, here's a good example of networking and the power of people. Many science labs can't afford large super computers. So, they send batches of data to ordinary folks like you and me who let their computers number munch in their down time, or all the time. Whichever you set the settings for. I suspect that as scientific knowledge grows, the need to munch will expand. For instance,

Chiba University in Japan has identified several proteins which cause childhood cancers, killing children as young as two years of age. Now Chiba wants to see which of 3 million possibilities will be the best drug to fight the diseases.

Also, Harvard is searching for the best material for solar panels. I believe they want to explore 10,000 or more options.

SETI analyzes radio waves from space, looking for intelligent life.

I've been munching for a few years. I just went to

http://boinc.berkeley.edu/

and downloaded the basic program Berkeley created. Then, I selected projects to help. I found World Community Grid has a wide selection, including the Harvard and Chiba ones, mentioned above. BOINC lets you specify how much of your CPU to devote to munching.

Oh, and some have screen savers. SETI's is especially cool.

I highly recommend it. If Intentional Communities hooked up with the Community Grid, answers would start flowing in even faster.

I'm planning a 1000 hour entry requirement for my shared income commune, and I thought I'd see what people think of the idea. Shared income only works if people believe in it. There are many people in the world that would like a free ride, so they'd want to join a community as a free place to live, if they could. The 1000 hour requirement is just a way to keep such people out, and get only people who believe in it to join, and also it is a way to get people committed to it before they join.

A parents love their children because they put effort into them. When someone puts a huge amount of work into a project, we say that is that person's "baby". If something is easy, you don't care about it, you don't respect it. You only care about things you have to work at.

So, if people are required to put in 1000 hours of work without pay, and without room and board, they'll have much greater respect for it, and care much more for it. It also will weed out the lazy people. We might also do some sort of thing for people who want to live there, where they work extra hours for a while or something.

For a shared income commune, we need people to love the commune. If they love the commune, they'll work for the good of the commune, without being told to or forced to. They'll work because they love the commune.

There's also going to be activity directors in my communes. People who spend their time finding fun activities to get people to play and have fun, not sit around being couch potatoes.

Obviously, this will make it difficult to get people, and yes I know it is already difficult to get people.
Course Description

This is a two week intensive Permaculture Design Certification Course that will be hosted on the beautiful site of the newly forming Laytonville Ecovillage in Mendocino county of Northern California. This course will immerse participants in the design system of Permaculture to create and maximize the beneficial relationships between our natural resources, our daily needs, and the regeneration the Earth. The course will integrate the theory of sustainable living with social permaculture through hands-on, real experience. Course participants will experience living in community and contributing to the design and development of a real Eco-Village project lead by an amazing cast of teachers and special guests in a fun and supportive community learning environment.

Site Details: Laytonville Eco-Village

The course is being held on an emerging Eco-Village development project on a ten acre, beautifully forested property about a mile outside of Laytonville, California. Laytonville is a small, rural town in Northern Mendocino County located right off Highway 101, about a three-hour drive from San Francisco. The property is zoned for subdividing and is in the process of being subdivided into five two-acre parcels that together will consist of the EcoVillage. Existing infrastructure on-site includes a two-story, two-unit farmhouse that’s about 65 years old, a barn with loft, a carport, and storage buildings. The vision of the Ecovillage is to develop the land and homes with community and sustainability as the core values. All of the models of ecological design, permaculture, green building, etc. will be applied to the fullest extent possible. Lots are available to people who agree to a common vision, to community, and to working with a set of guidelines that are developed by the community. Individual lots will thus fit into a “commons” wherein they co-create and agree to a set of sustainable and community parameters.

This is a good one for lots of people, so I thought hmm, those seeking to carry out their visions of intentional community might especially benefit. I read "Communities" magazine (find it on www.ic.org) from time to time and they've covered various interesting subjects over the years, but i haven't seen them take this one on before. Why do you think that is?
(i have no idea)

You've heard almost everywhere of _Brave New World_, the famous novel by Aldous Huxley, yet have you heard of the much more rare book, "Brave New World--REVISITED" (Harper & Row, 1958, 1965), which provokes thought on topics that are much deeper than mere critique of the Russians? Here are excerpts from this exceptional book, at last! (slightly edited for easier reading and such)

Chapter III. Over Organization

"The Power Elite...influences the thoughts, the feelings and the actions of virtually everybody. (p.19)

"We see, then, that modern technology has led to the concentration of economic and political power, and to the development of a society controlled (ruthlessly in the totalitarian states, politely and inconspicuously in the democracies) by Big Business and Big Government. But societies are composed of individuals and are good only insofar as they help individuals to realize their potentialities and to lead a happy and creative life. How have individuals been affected by the technological advances of recent years? Here is the answer to this question given by a philosopher-psychiatrist, Dr.Erich Fromm:

Our contemporary Western society, in spite of its material, intellectual and political progress, is increasingly less conducive to mental health, and tends to undermine the inner security, happiness, reason and the capacity for love in the individual; it tends to turn him into an automaton who pays for his human failure with increasing mental sickness, and with despair hidden under a frantic drive for work and so-called pleasure." (p.20)

Me, the editor, wonders what this frantic drive is about, and i come up with the idea that the people who buy into the Given imagination even to the detriment of their sanities, would frantically drive for whichever so-called "Norm" was Given to/coerced for them to be. What do you think?

Huxley, quoting Fromm:
"Our 'increasing mental sickness' may find expression in neurotic symptoms. These symptoms are conspicuous and extremely distressing. But 'let us beware', says Dr.Fromm, 'of defining mental hygiene as the prevention of symptoms. Symptoms as such are not our enemy, but our friend; where there are symptoms there is conflict, and conflict always indicates that the forces of life which strive for integration and happiness are still fighting.' The really hopeless victims of mental illness are to be found among those who appear to be most normal.

'Many of them are normal because they are so well adjusted to our mode of existence, because their human voice has been silenced so early in their lives, that they do not even struggle or suffer or develop symptoms as the neurotic does.' They are normal not in what may be called the absolute sense of the word; they are normal only in relation to a profoundly abnormal society. Their perfect adjustment to that abnormal society is a measure of their mental sickness.

These millions of abnormally normal people, living without fuss in a society to which, if they were fully human beings, they ought not to be adjusted, still cherish 'the illusion of individuality,' but in fact they have been to a great extent deindividualized. Their conformity is developing into something like uniformity. But 'uniformity and freedom are incompatible. Uniformity and mental health are incompatible too...Man is not made to be an automaton, and if he becomes one, the basis for mental health is destroyed.'"

"In the course of evolution nature has gone to endless trouble to see that every individual is unlike every other individual. We reproduce our kind by bringing the father's genes into contact with the mother's. These hereditary factors may be combined in an almost infinite number of ways. Physically and mentally, each one of us is unique.

Any culture which, in the interests of efficiency or in the name of some political or religious dogma, seeks to standardize the human individual, commits an outrage against man's biological nature.

"Science may be defined as the reduction of multiplicity to unity. It seeks to explain the endlessly diverse phenomena of nature by ignoring the uniqueness of particular events, concentrating on what they have in common and finally abstracting some kind of 'law,'...(gives examples) (p.21)

"Here the theoretical reduction of unmanageable multiplicity to comprehensible unity becomes the practical reduction of human diversity to subhuman uniformity, of freedom to servitude. In politics the equivalent of a fully developed scientific theory or philosophical system is a totalitarian dictatorship. In economics, the equivalent of a beautifully composed work of art is the smoothly running factory in which the workers are perfectly adjusted to the machines.

"The 'Will to Order' has produced many premature syntheses based upon insufficient evidence, many absurd systems of metaphysics and theology, much pedantic mistaking of notions for realities, of symbols and abstractions for the data of immediate experience...[and] it sometimes happens that a bad philosophical system may do harm...by being used as a justification for senseless and inhuman actions. It is in the social sphere, in the realm of politics and economics, that the Will to Order becomes really dangerous. (p.22)

"The Will to Order can make tyrants out of those who merely aspire to clear up a mess. The beauty of tidiness is used as a justification for despotism.

"Organization is indispensable; for liberty arises and has meaning only within a self-regulating community of freely co-operating individuals. But, though indispensable, organization can also be fatal. Too much organization transforms men and women into automata, suffocates the creative spirit and abolishes the very possibility of freedom.

"As usual, the only safe course is in the middle, between the extremes of laissez-faire at one end of the scale and of total control at the other. (p.23)

"During the past century (1850s to 1950s--ed) the successive advances in technology have been accompanied by corresponding advances in organization. Complicated machinery has had to be matched by complicated social arrangements, designed to work as smoothly and efficiently as the new instruments of production. In order to fit into these organizations, individuals have had to deindiviualize themselves, have had to deny their native diversity and conform to a standard pattern, have had to do their best to become automata.

(...)
"Subject to this kind of [alienated] life, individuals tend to feel lonely and insignificant. Their existence ceases to have any point or meaning.
(...)
"Brave New World presents a fanciful and somewhat ribald picture of a society, in which the attempt to recreate human beings in the likeness of termites has been pushed almost to the limits of the possible. That we are being propelled in the direction of Brave New World is obvious. But no less obvious is the fact that we can, if we so desire, refused to cooperate with the blind forces that are propelling us. For the moment, however, the wish to resist does not seem to be very strong or very widespread.

"As Mr. William Whyte has shown in his remarkable book, The Organization Man, a new Social Ethic is replacing our traditional ethical system--the system in which the individual is primary. The key words in this Social Ethic are "adjustment," "adaptation," "socially orientated behavior," "belongingness," "acquisition of social skills," "team work," "group living," "group loyalty," "group dynamics," "group thinking," "group creativity." Its basic assumption is that the social whole has greater worth and significance than its individual parts, that inborn biological differences should be sacrificed to cultural uniformity, that the rights of the collectivity take precedence over what the eighteenth century called the Rights of Man.

"According to [this] Social Ethic, Jesus [of Nazareth] was completely wrong in asserting that the Sabbath was made for man. On the contrary, man was made for the Sabbath, and must sacrifice his inherited idiosyncrasies and pretend to be the kind of standardized good mixer that organizers of group activity regard as ideal for their purposes.

"This ideal man is the man who displays 'dynamic conformity' (delicious phrase!) and an intense loyalty to the group, and unflagging desire to subordinate himself, to belong.
(p.25)
(...)
"[An organization] is not good in itself; it is good only to the extent that it promotes the good of the individuals who are the parts of the collective whole. To give organizations precedence persons is to subordinate ends to means. What happens when ends are subordinated to means was clearly demonstrated by Hitler and Stalin.

"Under their hideous rule personal ends were subordinated to organizational means by a mixture of violence and propaganda, systematic terror and the systematic manipulation of minds.

"In the more efficient dictatorships of tomorrow there will probably be much less violence than under Hitler and Stalin. The future dictator's subjects will be painlessly regimented by a corps of highly trained social engineers. 'The challenge of social engineering in our time,' writes an enthusiastic advocate of this new science, 'is like the challenge of technical engineering fifty years ago. If the first half of the twentieth century was the era of the technical engineers, the second half may well be the era of the social engineers'--and the twenty-first century, I suppose, will be the era of World Controllers, the scientific caste system and Brave New World.

"To the question quis custodiet custodes?--Who will mount guard over our guardians, who will engineer the engineers?--the answer is a bland denial that they need any supervision. There seems to be a touching belief among certain Ph.D's in sociology that Ph.D.'s in sociology will never be corrupted by power. Like Sir Galahad's, their strength is as the strength of ten because their heart is pure--and their heart is pure because they are scientists and have taken six thousand hours of social studies.

"Alas, higher education is not necessarily a guarantee of higher virtue, or higher political wisdom. And to these misgivings on ethical and psychological grounds must be added misgivings of a purely scientific character.

"Can we accept the theories on which the social engineers base their practice, and in terms of which they justify their manipulations of human beings?

"For example, Professor Elton Mayo ([of the Mayo Clinic?--ed]) tells us categorically that 'man's desire to be continuously associated in work with his fellows is a strong, if not the strongest human characteristic.' This, I would say, is manifestly untrue. Some people have the kind of desire described in Mayo; others do not. It is a matter of temperament and inherited constitution.

"Any social organization based upon the assumption that 'man' (whoever 'man' may be) desires to be continuously associated with his fellows would be, for many individual men and women, a bed of Procrustes. Only by being amputated or stretched upon the [torture] rack could they be adjusted to it.

"Again, how romantically misleading are the lyrical accounts of the Middle Ages with which many contemporary theorists of social relations adorn their works! 'Membership in a guild, manorial estate or village protected medieval man throughout his life and gave him peace and serenity.' Protected him from what, we may ask. Certainly not from remorseless bullying at the hands of his superiors.

(...)
"The impersonal forces of...over-organization, and the social engineers who are trying to direct these forces, are pushing us in the direction of a new medieval system. This revival will be made more acceptable than the original...but, for the majority of men and women, it will still be a kind of servitude.

Many people want to grow food but they lack one or two of these four things:
-time
-space
-skills
- physical strength

Forming a yardsharing group with your friends, neighbors, family or with your religious communities is easy - and free! You can set up a 'seeking yardshare' group for your area (like Chicago, South Side) or a private group for your own yardshare "Grandma's Backyard Garden"

CSAs are filling up fast. Community gardens have waiting lists. Food is getting more and more expensive.
Find some people and start growing together!

The other project we've started is The Great Let's Get Growing Seed Share.
We are asking experienced gardeners to become 'seed angels,' to adopt a newbie gardener and send them some garden seeds! I have sent four newbie gardeners enough seed that each of them will have huge beautiful edible gardens this summer. It's easy - it cost me less than 4 dollars to get four gardens going!

If you are an experienced gardener we need you to become a seed angel!
If you are a newbie food grower - sign up!
This article really got me thinking: If private college is now becoming "necessary" then perhaps public college should have been done better?
Schools are already practicing privatization. They make a 50% profit, yearly... while, they should be only paying their bills, and employees, and maintaining their buildings, they seem to be able to still bank 50% according to economist.
So, if we are paying taxes, to go to schools, but they are being diverted into such and such.... perhaps we should be asking why?
We should stop spending 20billion a month on war.
Afghanistan is going to bankrupt the bankrupt, and foment WW4 (final unedited humanity (bare as you dare)).
Makes me really see the value of paying citizens to spend more time tracking funds, and maintaining good honest records. IE: taxation representation is only possible if we are not too busy trying to eek a living!

My wife pointed out something interesting to think about. That Moses had the people wander in the wilderness for 40 years until they were ready to form a community. It worked, they formed a very successful community that way. The problem of course, is it isn't easy convincing people to wander in the wilderness for 40 years. Pretty much impossible.

I'd say it isn't necessary though. What the people need, is they need to believe. Not just say "I believe", but they actually need to truly believe. Just for clarification, I'm not talking believe in God, but rather belief in the system of society.

Christians go around telling people that all they have to do is believe in his name and have faith, but in reality none of them truly believe or have any faith. They don't know what faith is, and that is why they seem so brain washed to other people.

Faith, whether it is in a form of society, or in God, or in anything, only comes from "seeing". I put seeing in quotes, because it also means understanding.

If I tell you that I have a new idea for a rear view mirror ornament that'll cause your care to get twice as good of gas mileage, would you believe me? If I told you that you have to have "faith" in it to make it work, would you believe me? Of course not, and even if you did say you believe me, I don't believe that you believe me. If you say you believe me, I'd say you are lying to me, and maybe even lying to yourself.

Now, suppose we hang that rear view mirror ornament on your mirror and test it out. Suppose it really works, and your car does get twice as good of gas mileage. Now do you believe me? Not likely. I'm thinking it'll take quite a while before you really start to truly believe that it works. Probably several months, maybe even several years. Eventually, seeing will lead you to believing.

If people do not believe in the system of society, they won't work. If they don't work, society doesn't function, and they prove to themselves what they want to believe. It becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

So the question is, how do we get people to truly believe in the form of society? Sure, having a working prototype will make a huge difference, but what else can we do to help?

Specifically I want to show people on fixed incomes, who may not have heard of the IC concept how to form and live in an IC. Mostly I'm referring to older women living solely on Social Security.

I think it would solve 3 problems: first by pooling funds people on fixed incomes could sidestep some of the problems endemic to grinding poverty. Next It would draw together people in a similar age group for company, interdependence and security. Third, I believe it will help environmentally due to shared facilities.

I'm thinking of different things that have worked in other communities: tiny private homes which amount to being a bedroom and sitting room but shared laundry, great room, shower and kitchen facilities. This way people can have their privacy yet not isolate themselves. I'm not talking about assisted living. Once someone gets to that stage they need to be in a place where people can care for them.

I'm not sure how this will manifest. I'm still thinking and refining the concept.

First evolved the reptile ancestors brain. Then lower mammals. Then, higher thought; abstract thinking, etc. He also said that when stressed, people revert to reptilian thinking. They become control-freaks, anal, etc.

Boy, have I seen this in communities I've visited! I suspect some would attribute it to this: People fed up enough with the mainstream to up and leave it will be strrrrrreeeeeesed out folks.

How does this reptilian thinking manifest itself?

Fringe thinking. Extremist thinking. Lunatic fringe thinking.
Female fear of men, and all that is sexual.
Etc.

Trouble is, such thinking turns many off. Folks leave; turnover is high. Cliques of the disturbed form, and they view beliefs contrary to their own as heresy. (Go to a community and say genetically modified food is inevitable, unstoppable, and that totally opposing it is counterproductive. Or, turn the fan off in the outhouse on a hot summer day. Spray for bugs in the perpetually roach-infested kitchen. Etc.)

Most people use ten percent or less of the Brain. Through the awakening of Kundalina energy the brain can organically evolve to a higher performance. No time has been spent investigating perhaps the most powerful energy of nature. Religious experience and its root.

Kundalini is the evolutionary potency in all humans. A fundamental bioenergy. It comes from an Indian word meaning “to join the soul with the cosmic soul,” In the ancient Indian language Sanskrit it is a term referring to a coiled force or energy originating at the base of the spine, and seated near the sex organs a coiled up sleeping snake. Implies latent energy or potential to expand. Serpent Power when activated travels up the seven chakras which are the nerve centers along the spinal cord and enlightens the mind. Expanding consciousness the nirvana of Buddha. It is responsible for human evolution and all-psychic abilities genius and spiritual illumination. Kundalini is the biological way to expand the mind.

Kundalini is the “secret” behind yoga and all other esoteric psychology’s and genuine occult mysteries. A scientifically measurable biochemical essence Kundalini is the substance that is the nourishment of consciousness. It penetrates the nervous system and influences the nerves to become the instrument of higher consciousness. This subtle substance is a snake-like force that fuels the mind in order to sustain a more active state, producing an awakened Kundalini individual, Note: snakes have two hemi penises and the power to hypnotize.

Such inner power is represented by the two snakes on King Tut’s headdress and the feathered serpent of Mexico and South America, The serpent in the Garden of Eden. The upward flow of Kundalini nectar (prana force, bioplasmic stream) is concentrated in the reproductive fluids of both men and women. When Kundalini is activated a reverse action takes place, feeding the center of the brain. “cavity of Brahma” in the brain’s ventricular cavity. Kundalini is the power that controls it. All great saints’’ mystics’ poets and people of genius, as well as the insane were influenced in this way.

If an experiment were performed it would prove the existence of the Kundalini force and show its physiological effects on the body. It could bridge the gap between science and mysticism and show the essential truth of religious experience and tradition. Religion has always been a companion of humanity. Religion came to guide humanity. No scientist could doubt the reality of this phenomenon once it has been observed and measured.. Such an experiment would uncover the vale of darkness and delusion under which humanity has been living. This evolutionary force needs publicity and actual proof would provide it. The results will speak for themselves. It will be a discovery more important than anything that has preceded it.

It is only from an awakened perspective that such observation can be made and this potential lies within everyone. As humanity evolved from cave men to the United Nations it becomes inevitable that this discovery will come to light and that there is indeed a purpose. A planned creation to our being. God protects our blue-green planet earth from the inferno of intergalactic space. Why? Because humanity has to attain to other states of consciousness for which all these recourses are needed to do this. We have been granted an intelligence to make the best use of it.

Life’s purpose and evolution’s power lead to cosmic laws, which must be obeyed for nature’s divine grace within us all to come to light. These laws as spoken of in all religions occult and mystical beliefs describe a path to enlightenment. As great empires have come and gone, so too must humanity’s faiths change.

My teacher, the late Pundit Gopi Krishna, an Indian Yogi-scientist and world renowned expert of Kundalini who has written over twenty books on the subject states, “We all know what happened whenever a political system became despotic and oppressive, a social system exacting and corrupt, and a religious system excessively authoritarian and dogmatic. There arose a demand for revision and reform. Political revolutionaries, reformers and prophets appeared on the scene, The old system was overthrown often with dreadful bloodshed, suffering and pain and a new one installed in its place. We have to cooperate with inner evolution.”

What is needed for a more positive harmonic peaceful and prosperous existence is a fuller understanding of humanity’s need for god. As society accelerates the brain must work increasingly beyond the point of balance. We are giants of intellect and dwarfs of the spiritual. We give no time to the spirit. Bringing on grave consequences. Gopi Krishna says. “ We have given too much emphasis to the material side of life at the cost of the spiritual side.” Time must be set aside for prayer, meditation, yoga or some other spiritual act in order to keep life’s evolutionary needs in balance and maintain inner sanity. Yoga meditation provides a channel for the opening of a powerful energy (inspiration) which can enable anyone to blossom into a genius, an artist, a poet, a mystic.

If this force awakens in an impure or out of balance form it can result in evil genius fanaticism delusions of grandeur, or mental illness (like manic depression and schizophrenia). There is a lot that is not understood that kundalini research will explain.

The brain is subject to the influence of countless factors connected with the life environment and the family history of an individual. When even slightly tainted or stained do to the pressure of reality or various causes such as wrong mode of life, unhealthy environment, faulty heredity, shock, frustration, repression, tension and numerous other factors. If the mind is abnormal the brain too must be a shareholder in the abnormality. There are subtle changes in some neuronic structures in the cranium. The real root of the abnormality is an impure or toxic condition of the prana. If you do not live a disciplined life then the awakening of this center can be unhealthy. A distorted vision of the same power. It means that the system is not pure and that the energy is not working in a healthy way.

There is a positive spiritual energy force within us all. Which has a physical counterpart in the human body that feeds a certain portion of the brain cavity of Brahma. This is a living electricity or intelligent energy that is needed to open the brain. The macrobiological changes and its effect can be observable and scientifically verified. Elevations of consciousness can only occur through the transformation brought by kundalini and by no other agency.

Nature shows compassion to humanity in order to help guide us safely through transgressions. God to me is a universal god that is not tied to any one organized religion. It gives us chance after chance. But when we digress off the path unhealthy results occur. We can not blame nature but ourselves. We have intelligence, we have reason, and we have learning. But if by having everything we ignore it then of course nature has no alternative except to teach us by suffering. Heaven is always merciful and all compassionate.

Great prophets, mystics, inventors, sages and people of genius have come to guide our race towards evolution’s goal. The study of the past will show the common thread within these great men and woman. Study is needed in order to educate us about how life should be led to be more in harmony with the forces of nature, which govern our life. A life of humility – love – purity - truth - moderation and compassion.

But how can we prove kundalini’s effect on the body? We can perform an experiment in a controlled environment. This experiment would take on hundred individuals with a healthy average intellect - normal typical people all with a great urge to awaken with a deep passion for spiritual matters and who are prepared to mold their lives in consort with the spiritual laws. Men and women aged twenty to thirty five. They would be put in a peaceful environment and subjected to various tests over a period of five years or more.

Scientists can observe them as the subjects try to awaken their kundalini. They will awaken to differing degrees. Tests will document the physiological changes that occur and will provide the empirical proof of what happens to the body as the kundalini force is awakened. I hypothesis that there are definitive biological differences in the blood, the cerebrospinal fluid and the composition of the brain matter in its subtle layers. Research on brain mapping. EEG ceg ces and the electricity in the body may show the kundalini force. The brain activity will be increased and its effect will be found all over the body. There will be metabolic processes, which can be measured. There will be physiological changes, which can be measured. This will convince the biologist that this change of the mind of the brain has physiological counter part. The result will start humanity towards a greater understanding of this evolutionary mechanism.

Once it is proved that the potential to awaken lies within everyone and is the most valuable asset we have, people will strive for it. The result on humanity will be comparable to the splitting of the spiritual atom. Instead of releasing a nuclear holocaust it will unleash the beginning of a utopian age, our cosmic destiny that can transform a mortal into an immortal and eternal source of happiness.

The awakening of these energies produces genius in mortal man or woman. Creativity, love and compassion emerge and pathways are opened to a future, awakened humanity. We will become the trailblazers of our own inevitable destiny. A utopian age of peace and harmony will follow. All political and spiritual processes will be developed for the highest good. Individuals will develop their “inner Sun” to the fullest during their lifetime. Kundalini research is part of an evolutionary force that compels us to look for enlightenment as an experience accessible to all. To awaken is the goal nature has set for us.

The time is right for we can use state of the art technology to study the phenomenon. We can study the common thread that lies at the root of all religion mysticism which is to guide humankind’s understanding of evolutionary change The understanding of kundalini is now becoming provable for the first time.

Sigmund Freud in fact understood that the libido is directly responsible for mental imbalances. At some point in time we will discover that all we know can be reduced to the bio-chemical. This center of the brain cavity of Brahma is still undiscovered but could be called the “third eye” or the “philosopher’s stone”. Kundalini will for the first time reveal how energy is supplied to the brain and that it is superintelligent. Freud’s concept about libido is of a psychic energy drawn from the libidinous tendencies in human beings. Which is to say the reproductive energy but only from a psychic point of view. He does not say that it has organic roots. This is what famed psychologist Wilhelm Reich emphasizes that this libido must have roots deep in the biochemical structure of the body.

The sex organs in a state of awakened kundalini produces a vast amount of fluid to feed the newly activated part of the brain. Sexual energy may well be directly connected to a mechanism that is affected by evolutionary advancement. Kundalini is the fundamental bioenergy stored primarily in the sex organs. This basic life force is normally associated with the genitals for simple continuance of the species by providing a sex drive. The tie in to the human sex drive and higher consciousness must be explored. Why do men have ejaculation while asleep or wake up with erect penises. There is a force of nature that needs physical release to be sane.

It is called the “goddess Kundalini” or “Mother Nature” because a mother’s love is similar to the bliss of higher consciousness. Woman have more feelings! Life is part of them - menstruation each month reminds them of that. Soulmates, man-woman have intercourse to prolong the race (children). Plus experience the love, kundalini evolutionary force of completion, happiness and bliss that keeps growing.

Sexual or relaxation exercises may release inner pressure of an over-taxed libido. An evolutionary super-nectar, extraordinary life force feeds the mind, a kissing food of unlimited bliss. The sublimation raising up of sex energy is the basic lever of all spiritual disciplines. But the all-inclusive nature of sex energy is a misnomer. Reproduction is but one of the aspects of the life energy of which the other theater of activity is the brain.

Humanity’s basic needs are for sex, god and a need for prayer to control our environment i.e.. hope within everyone lies the ability to awaken. Humanity needs love to balance our own unbalanced state and give us time to meditate, to control our over-taxed brain. Humanity’s sex drive may well be the only time some people relax from their hectic lifestyles. There is a need to just kick back and enjoy. Sex could be a form of deep meditation and experience between two soul mates. Loves deep blissful passion, kundalini’s purest expression an active prayer one of the most powerful forces in the universe. A positive experience that ends in an explosion of uncontrollable bliss. However for the average person, sex is not a deep meditation but is merely a physical release, a small slice of love’s true potential.

What is needed is that deep magnetism of love - a yin/yang of a universal constant. First came the big bang theory for the creation of the universe, now the love theory of creation states that the universe is a constant - always was here. That pure love magnetism, that yin/yang. Example. Trees love earth. Earth love the sky the sky loves the stars space… Love is consciousness … The universe is male and female and in love with both forces.

Suppression of sexuality out of contempt or hatred of our lower nature is an act of ignorance leading only to atrophy of the sexual system. Celibacy is contrary to nature. Since enlightenment is an evolutionary process with heredity playing an important role stamping the genera of the enlightened so that their biological gains through spiritual disciplines can be passed to their progeny. DNA research will eventually discover the consciousness gene.

Sexual energy has been represented in ancient art and statues by an erect organ. Showing the upward streaming of the reproductive essence that effects the transformation of consciousness.

In order to discover the factual evidence behind consciousness, one must first study kundalini energy and its effects. Scientific proof will free humanity to accept the fact that within everyone lies the temple of god leading to a clear realization of our own divine nature. Man’s incomprehensible inner bliss and oneness with divinity and a way of life that overpowers doing wrong or any other action that goes against this cosmic evolutionary force. The misunderstanding of kundalini has led to environmental decline that seems rooted to ultimate destruction of Planet Earth i.e. ozone layer, burning of rain forests, religious wars and terrorism, rape and murder….

It is one relationship not just to their own kundalini but also towards each other. It is the combination of the two that will lead not only to harmony but also to sharing and ultimately to progress. The appeal especially in these times is kundalini which offers hope promise. There is negative energy (i.e. ours) that can be transformed into positive communal conscience which will try to eradicate feelings of helplessness, negativity, pain and the burden of feeling isolated.

Why are people so selfish? Due to not having an understanding of kundalini. Just desperation, helplessness and power struggles which lead to hurting others and ourselves or apathy both of which have a profound effect on our history and the mood of the energy.

Our goal and objective is to create a paradise on earth. A peaceful co-existence, long lives, greater achievements and more freedom. A utopian society living by the laws uncovered by the experiment. A union with the divine is a sum total of the physical laws of the universe. We are in the process of taking the next evolutionary leap. The new century is here.

The study of what lifestyle would be best to advance ones inner potential is a task that may take eons to complete. With the help of divine grace may we free the veil that covers the eyes of the blind masses. We who have been chosen for this colossal task are the humble instruments of this evolutionary force. We will do our part to understand this unfathomable awareness of our eternal souls. The universe is ruled by an intelligent power! Consciousness does not change in birth or death it is bigger than our individual soul. Consciousness is an eternal om...

The Rainbow Family Tribe,
&
Rainbow Family of Living Light, etc. et. al...
Are
Light-workers and/or Angels as most folks call them !

“Remember to show respect, hospitality, kindness, compassion, and above ALL Un-conditional Love for ALL. There are some who, by doing so, have entertained Light-workers and/or Angels as most folks call them without knowing it.”

Light-workers and/or Angels as most folks call them exist. They are all shapes, and sizes, and colors and are to be found in our heart of hearts as well as virtually every known monotheistic religion. And, they are found in great numbers. Students of the Cabala, an ancient sect of Judaism, ascertained in the 14th century that as many as 11,000 Light-workers and/or Angels as most folks call them are designated to each and every individual. With odds like that in our favor, one might expect to go through this life unscathed.

But, hold on…

Light-workers and/or Angels as most folks call them are actually low on the totem pole of everyone list even as a celestial champion. Some even called “Wing Nuts” what little do “We” know!

We have all heard stories of Light-workers and/or Angels as most folks call them encounters, particularly in the case of near-death experiences. History offers evidence
of these encounters, beyond the early prophetic visitation to Abraham, upon which the Judeo-Christian faith was founded. George Washington is reported to have confessed to many his belief that an Light-workers and/or Angels as most folks call them gave him strength to endure the harsh winter at Valley Forge. Abraham Lincoln believed he was
visited by Light-workers and/or Angels as most folks call them to guide him while he served in the White House. George Handel claimed to have been effected by an Light-workers and/or Angels as most folks call them encounter while composing The Messiah. Upon completion of the Hallelujah Chorus, the composer turned a tear-stained face to his servant and said, “I did think I did see all heaven open before me!”

Where does one look for an Light-workers and/or Angels as most folks call them these days? In our rainbow family, our rainbow friends, our rainbow selves? Yes. Author Pat Rodegast claims to write while channeling under the Light-workers and/or Angels as most folks call them Emmanuel. In her inspirational book, “Emmanuel’s Book III: What’s an Light-workers and/or Angels as most folks call them Doing Here?,” Rodegast suggests that we begin to truly experience ourselves when we accept that we are all Light-workers and/or Angels as most folks call them in origin. Most importantly, we should respect and recognize that our humanness, in its limited state, is only temporary, that other realms spirituality awaits us. We should forgive ALL our shortcomings and understand that they are based on fear of loving our rainbow selves and of being judged by others.
The capacity to experience unconditional love is achieved when the spirit within returns to its source; physical death is a beginning, not an end. “We” cannot love completely while we are walking in human form because the very nature of humanness is based on separation…”

How can we embrace the Light-workers and/or Angels as most folks call them within us and reach out to our Light-workers and/or Angels as most folks call them? All we have to do is open the door locked by years of fear and faulty thinking. Meditate; be open to entertaining and sharing new ideas. Become familiar with the writings of ALL
Religions and ignore any distortion man has lent while writing them.
We will discover that they share a common thread and truthfulness.
Stop judging self & others, for things are not what they appear to be.

More importantly, we must not judge ourselves & others too harshly and fear consequence and retribution for the mistakes that we’ve made. Be caring, kind, compassionate, and love thy brothers & sisters of the world as we love ourselves.
These are words to live by.
Even in a quote from the Bible note - { as well as many other religious books and belief’s. }
“For he has charged his angels to guard you wherever you go,
to lift you on their hands for fear you should strike your foot
against a stone.” -- Psalms 91:11-12

So folks be very, very careful when traveling & meeting new folks in the highways and byways of the world for you never know whom you may meet or the magic they may behold?

Arguments Against Concensus Decision Making

Since I've been so quite for a long time, I'll first reintroduce myself... sort of. I believe the ideal form of community is shared income with individual decision making, more about individual decision making here:
http://conceivia.com/about-us/individual-decision-power/

Enough introduction, now for my arguments against consensus.

Do you believe in recycling? What if everyone had to get a consensus of all the people in their cities or communities to agree to do recycling? A person who lives in a city of 1 million people would need to get 1 million people to agree to recycling, or else no one would recycle.

Do you believe in global warming? What if people had to get 100 percent agreement from everyone in order for anyone to be allowed to do anything to reduce global warming?

Are you a vegetarian? What if you had to get agreement from 100 percent of the people to be allowed to not eat meat? What if no one was allowed to make tofu or soy milk unless everyone agreed to it.

Do you eat meat? What if you had to get 100 percent agreement to be allowed to eat meat? What if no one could raise animals for food, unless 100 percent of the people agreed to it.

Shared income society has a huge problem. You can not share income without sharing everything, including the decision making process. The decision making system is much more critical in shared income society. Shared income society is much less forgiving of the flaws of the decision making system, so a much better decision making system is needed.

Jesus said "love thy neighbor as thyself", which means shared your income with them, share everything with them. Respect your neighbor's opinion as it is as valid as your own opinion. Jesus told us that is the number 2 most important thing in the Bible, the number one being to put the Earth and Mankind before yourself. Jesus told us that is all of God's laws summed up in two simple laws. If you don't want to read the Bible, you don't need to, 'cause that is everything you need to know. As long as you follow those two laws.

I believe shared income or moneyless society is the only way for mankind to survive. It solves the problem of overpopulation, because that form of society can easily handle 100 times the current population. People in the USA put out 30 times more global warming gases than people in poor countries, even though the USA has so much more technology. With Technology, we can have negative global warming influence, we can put out less than zero global warming gases easily by utilizing currently existing technology.

Of course, global warming is not the worst of our problems. We have nuclear weapons, and there is a 100 percent chance of nuclear war in the near future. I'd say 95% chance within 50 years, 80% chance within 20 years. There is a zero percent chance that WWIII will happen without becoming a nuclear war. War is money. War is almost always for profit. There are always people in power trying to start wars to get serious profit for it. Those people don't worry about the chances of nuclear war, they think they can avoid it. They are like children playing with fire, they haven't been burned yet, so they are not afraid, but when they get burned for the first time, it is too late for all of mankind.

Anyway, enough of that. The point I'm trying to make, is that we can find a solution to the shared income problem. We can make a shared income system of society that works. Jesus believed in it. Jesus also told us nuclear war was coming, saying there'd be "stars falling from heaven", and hydrogen fusion weapons falling from the sky exactly the same as stars. Stars are also hydrogen fusion reactions. There'd be no point in telling us that, if we could not do anything about it. We can do something about it, to allow mankind to not only survive but create world peace.

Don't be depressed about that. Don't feel it is futile. God loves us and wouldn't tell us we were all going to die, without telling us how we can avoid it. God gave us a plan to save ourselves, so be excited. God's plan is about to go into effect, and we are in the very beginning of the Age of Aquarius. We are on the verge of the age of world peace, and of amazing technology. The stories of what the Age of Aquarius will be like are true, as you are about to find out. It will be an age of love, peace, and tranquility. There will soon be no more wars, no poverty and almost no crime. Love and Kindness will rule.

I believe the problem is very simple. We create a shared income society with individual decision making. Allow individuals the freedom to make decisions. That means we must respect people, we must love each other. Love your neighbor as yourself. Allow you neighbor to make decisions with "your money".

The money that belongs to the community must be spent at least partly by individuals, with individual people making decisions about how to spend portions of it. Not by majority vote, not by consensus, but rather by trusting and "loving" people, and respecting them to make the right decisions without our control or interference.

Do you believe in recycling? Do you want to do something about Global Warming? Do you want to do something to reduce the use of crude oil? Do you want to do something so that the community produces more income so everyone in the community can live better and accomplish more?

If you believe in any of those things, don't just throw the money into a community pot and use consensus decision making to figure out what to do with the money. You'd be better off throwing the money in a pile and burning it, then at least the community would get the benefit of some warmth and pretty light from the money. Less CO2 will be produced from the burning of money than would be produced by the production and consumption of things purchased with the money.

Rather, we must respect one another's opinions. Allow individuals to make those decisions. Allow your neighbors to decide, allow yourself to decide without asking permission. Voluntarily asking advice is ok, but not being required to ask permission.

If everyone in the community is allowed to decide for themselves what to do with the money, some of that money will go towards reducing global warming, some by reducing use of oil, some will work on finding alternative energy sources, some will spend money on producing or buying food, some will spend money on things to entertain the community. People will find all sorts of ways of spending the money, some you will agree with, and some you will disagree with.

People will feel good about themselves. People will feel like they are part of something, and each will feel like they are doing their part for the good of the community. The people will live in harmony.

I'm currently working on creating a new machine. It'll be an amazing machine, capable of producing all sorts of things, utilizing all sorts of manufacturing processes. I'll be a CNC Mill, 3D printer or rapid prototyper, 3D scanner, Electronics design and assembler, and be capable of many other things as well.

This new machine will bring manufacturing to individuals, and even to the poor. It will drastically reduce the need to buy things, 'cause it will be able to make the things we need. It will drastically reduce the cost of short run manufacturing, to the point of being below the price that large companies can sell us things at. This means if will drastically change the world.

It will also be controllable via Internet, which will put it within the hands of the very poor. We'll also produce and give away super cheap computers, which will get this machine into the hands of those who can't even afford a computer or even the electricity to run it.

That by itself would be relatively meaningless, but combined with the emerging open source movement, and my new emerging shared income or moneyless society, and you'll see some seriously amazing changes happening in the next few years.

I expect this machine will cost me about $100,000 worth of my own labor, $10,000 or more of my own money, and will take about a year to develop it. I have to balance working to make money with working on the project, so I can produce enough of both to finish it. Once finished, we'll be able to produce these machines for about $200 each. I've already done quite a bit of work on it, so I'm pretty sure on that. This will be a machine that could be sold for $20,000 easily, but it will be an open source machine, so people will be able to make them for themselves.

I can't produce a machine that cheap without spending money on tooling. I need to spend thousands of buying stocks of super cheap surplus components. I need to spend thousands on tools, dies, and molds, to allow us to produce parts the parts needed cheap. Mass production machinery can produce parts for $0.20 or so each, but first you need to spend a thousand dollars or so for the tool. Once you have the tool though, you can produce hundreds of thousands of parts.

Robots can be used to allow people to visit a place without actually traveling to the place. The robot provides the eyes and ears and ability to talk, and ability to move around from place to place.

If such a robot was placed in an intentional community, people could visit the community "virtually", via Internet. People could sit in the comfort of their own homes and control a robot that would travel around the community and allow them to communicate with people there, see what is happening, sit in on meetings, etc.

This of course is not as good as actually visiting the community, but on the other hand, it doesn't waste fuel getting the people there, or require them to quit their jobs to go there, or other things like that.

Another approach, would be to have multiple webcams, which show the community in various locations. Perhaps a combination of the two approaches might be a good idea.

These devices would rapidly improve the whole community movement, I believe.

I forget what they call that kind of robot, but I know there are open source versions. In future, I expect my company will make such robots also, which will also be open source, but much cheaper than making your own.
